On an impulse, my wife and I decided to go away on New Year's Eve in the campervan we had just bought. I rang to book a pitch and spoke to the friendliest and most helpful lady in the world just before we left to drive there. It is a fairly big site, but the pitches are well spaced out and the welcome pack made finding our pitch and sorting ourselves out very easy. The showers, toilets and washing up room were warm, light and spotlessly clean. You do get a bit of road noise, but overall I would thoroughly recommend South Lytchett to anyone visiting the area.
Very nice campsite. Stayed for 3 nights and we have no complaints! The toilet blocks were very clean, the campsite was very tidy and they have a small but well stocked shop. Would definitely recommend this campsite. The local pub (St Peter's Finger) is not recommended however. The food was slow and not well cooked. If you want to visit a pub, go to The Bakers Arms
We had a two night stay in this lovely site. The reception was friendly and informative. We were give a voucher for a free bottle of wine at the local pub when you buy two main meals. The facilties were warm (December) and cleanThe site manager helped us on our departure as we had a flat battery and he help us on our way.I would definately visit againAnd dog friendly
Fantastic 5* camping and caravan park. The most civilised amenities, dog friendly, well stocked shop and lovely coffee van. Also brilliant location to explore the local towns and beaches.
This is a superb campsite. Not only do they offer every possible facility imaginable, the grounds are kept to a very high standard. You can only imagine the work that goes into the upkeep, from the neat lawns and hedgerows, to the immaculate shower & toilet facilities. They don't miss a trick... They have a small but well stocked shop for the essentials and the staff running the site are more than helpful. Myself and some friends stayed a couple of nights and although you have to keep the noise to a respectable level after 10pm, we had a great stay. We went out for the evening to make as much noise as we wanted, so those rules didn't affect us in the least! Its a very quiet site but busy with other campers as its so popular. I would like to personally thank Phil and his wife for helping out with the caravan yesterday. I had to move it off the pitch by 11am (as another camper had requested our spot and were on they're way) but wasn't able to do so, as the person collecting me had been delayed. They therefore organised a tow to another spot, until I was able to leave and even connected me up to electric in case I needed it. Although my departure was a lot later than planned, they didn't take any extra money from me for the delay. Such helpful, kind people. This is my second stay with them and we would go back in a heartbeat. The local pub, which is in walking distance (St Peter's finger) served up some great food (even at 9pm) and were very welcoming. Our only complaint is we couldn't stay longer... Thank you all...
