Looking for reviews of Sandaway Beach Holiday Park? The following Sandaway Beach Holiday Park reviews have been submitted.
Dear Sandaway Beach Holiday Park,I am writing to you to tell you how disappointed we are with your holiday services. We stayed at your holiday park between 08/08/15 – 22/08/15. There are several different elements of the holiday park we as a family would like to point out to you. Toilets & showers I cannot describe how bad the toilet and shower facilities were at the camp. I have found dirt and cobwebs in every single part of the area, there was a toilet roll in one of the showers which was there for roughly 4 days until it was removed. The floor in the toilets was not acceptable as it was a health and saftey hazard and was not well maintained. It was a very slippery surface and was not suitable for anyone. I have found lots of dead insects on the window frames. The showers did not run for very long, the lights went off after a short amount of time and one of the showers was way too hot for young children in the ladies toilets. There is mould in the corners of all the toilets and showers which is revolting. Size of pitch The size of the camping pitch was not what we quite had in mind. We was squashed together amongst other visitor's on the field and didn't have enough space for us to have bbq's ect. Security I am very concerned with the lack of security on site as were we have been camping on other camping sites (park resorts) and they are very friendly and always make sure that you are safe and happy. You would always expect a good morning or a little laugh with them. Having no one on site after 11 o clock pm is a huge health and safety issue as if there was a fire nobody would be around to assist you. Because there are nobody on site, there was 3 people that just came in one night, put up there tents and camped for the night which looked very suspicious that they didn't pay. Children's outdoor areaThe children's outdoor play area which was in front of our tent and is supposed to close at dusk (9:30-10:00) was not. There was lots of kids in there at night which kept us awake and should of been locked up and controlled properly. Washing up area The washing up area which is supposed to a hygienic area was not. There was lots of bugs, mouse droppings and dirt all over the floor. The sink on the right hand side was leaking which meant that you could not use it and the hot taps were twisting around when you twisted the top knob. This is definitely not what you would expect when paying £50 per night. Bad customer service (not welcoming) When we got to the park after a long 6 hour drive, the receptionist was not happy at all and just said \"pitch were you want\" and gave us the thought that she really couldn't be bothered which really surprised us. Entertainment When I went over to the clubhouse each day and looked at what was on, it kept changing everyday and when we went over there something different was on. The clubhouse that was supposed the be a \"clubhouse\" was really a small pub. Arcades The arcades that was supposed to be for children, was a large majority of fruit machines. How can you run a family holiday park with arcades that can only be operated by people over the age of 18?We as a family are feel very disappointed with the treatment and facilities we have been given from your holiday park. Everyone else on the campsite that we have spoken to have also said that they are absolutely disgusted and have been robbed in pure daylight. It is not worth paying £50 a night (total £700) for a squashed pitch and a bit of electric and we can safety say that we will definitely not be staying with any John Fowler Holiday Parks anymore. I hope that I have put my points of view across to you and that you would take consideration in trying to improve these for other campers and tourers. We feel like we should be refunded part of the money from this holiday which would make us feel a bit more happier. JamesJames Bartlett
A lovely smaller holiday park, the veiw out to sea was amazing and the staff were great. The pool was warm but needs a refurbish soon. Our caravan was nice and clean and it allowed doggies but no doggie smell (well done cleaners). The caravan had signs of a refurbishment not to long ago but however it was not done to well and on first opening the main door it fell off its hinges. The bar was reasonably priced as was the food, the portions was good and the entertainment was good the stripies made us laugh. On the hole we would definitely go back.
3 night stay.. Nice quiet site well maintained but the caravan we had was Very tired and not overly clean with a somewhat over powering smell of TCP to the point of we could still smell it in the car and on the suitcase when we got home some 9 hrs later. But overall a good base to use. Would we return possibly not.
Can't wait to go back
