Fantastic horse shoe shape beach. The sea is long way out at low tide.. Follow the lifeguard instructions at all times.. lovely scenery.
When the good weather arrives in the UK there are some truly stunning locations and Crantock beach is one of them. It is a naturally beautiful location managed by the National Trust. Refreshments are provided by a converted ex-military truck situated on the beach, which itself is just a short walk from the NT car park.
One of our favourite beaches along this coastline.Plenty of parking nearby (National Trust and a public pay-&-display) with cafe and toilets. Perfect for relaxing, walking alongside the Gannel river, or for water sports. Surfing / body-boarding is excellent here, as the surf funnels into the bay giving some beautiful waves for beginners or experts alike. When the surf is poor, Stand-Up-Paddle boarding is perfect, especially along the Gannel with it's views of the steep hillsides.Round the day off whilst still keeping the view at the Bowgie Inn on West Pentire. Great food, loads of outdoor seating as well as indoor.
Beautiful place and a great place to walk. My Nordic Walking Group - Walk Kernow love it here. Finish your walk with a cuppa or meal at C Bay...perfect!
Crantock has a fantastic dog friendly beach with mobile refreshment facilities and toilets in the car park. The village a ten minute walk from the beach has a tea garden and two good pubs serving quality food.
