One of the quietest holidays we have ever had. Brillant and completely away from main stream places loved it and will be going again with most playful dog you will meet from the local pub eastcott arms
Very comfortable and affordable. Clean, quiet, peaceful. Hot showers, evening pub nearby. Dog friendly. Everything you need for a comfortable break that won't break the bank.
A truly peaceful place to stay .Clean and very friendly .The park is kept to a very high standard. This is a first choice always
Although the views are beautiful, and there are some lovely walks, I and family visited in winter and there were a number of things that we felt could be improved. Firstly, as it was cold, the wooden floors were freezing and there was only a very small rug. Not all of us came with our warm slippers and the cold could be felt through our socks, so either a bigger floor rug or floor heating under the wooden floors would have been great! Thankfully the two blow heaters warmed up the living room relatively quickly. We felt that as it was winter and after our long journey, management could have at least warmed up the lodge prior to our arrival. There is an electric coin meter in the kitchen. The property description does not inform of this and it would have been really helpful to know this prior to our arrival so that we did not have to head back out in the cold that evening to get change for the meter, some 9 miles away at a Morrison's in Bude City Centre. In addition the toilet is small and extremely cold (doesn't seem to get warm even when the blow heater in the bathroom is on). The heating in the bedrooms don't seem to warm up the bedrooms. Overall the lodge was okay for our short stay, but for the above. We also made some friends with the ducks and robins, who put a smile on our faces the next morning when we awoke to find them working together on the green (robins taking seeds from feeders and dropping some down for the ducks) 😊. We gave them some lovely oat grain treats as a thank you!
Warm welcome. Made to feel welcome. Cabins very basic. But they are clean and has got everything you need. Put about 7 pounds in the electric metre for the week so not to bad. Beautiful surroundings being visited by the ducks every morning. Would have liked a bird table to feed the birds as there was so many different types to see. The only other thing is the shower. Could do with better shower wasn't a lot of pressure so it just trickled out
