Had a lovely time. Just come back. It was an excellent view from the hot tub. We did loads of walking. We took our house cat and she had a fantastic time too. Her little head was buzzing with all the new views. All three of us feel refreshed and relaxed.

Lovely lodge and great hot tub and nice fittings. Location a bit in the middle of nowhere so need to get taxis if you dont own a car carrying from £12.50 to £16.50, also they have electric fires but have the heating element turned off?

Great place really restful and private. It’s about 15 mins away from the local town so food shopping was not a problem, there is also a huge leisure centre and activity summit centre with bowling, climbing and a huge Indoor soft play. Local take aways deliver to the cabins should you need it. We drove to the York retail park Which has a good variety of shops and we also used this space for the park and ride into York city centre which took all the hassle out of parking. The staff are all very welcoming and pleasant. The lodges are clean and well maintained with a home away from home feel. The bins are tucked away (2 min walk) from the lodges so it’s all nice and clean.There was limited storage for food but ample side space. To be fair the cupboards do have all the required equipment for cooking so can’t really complain about that! The only downside and it is minor was the kettle! This was louder than a Jumbo jet taking off which made me reluctant to make a cup of tea in the morning for fear of waking the whole family, however if you need to hustle them out of bed in a hurry the sound of a jumbo jet coming out the kitchen could save you a job! 10/10 will be coming again x

Quiet and peaceful. A great place to get away from it all. Hot tub is so relaxing. Very clean and modern. Only shame it rained most of week. But enjoyed our time here.

WOW what a beautiful place to stay. My wife and I spent a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing week here - not to mention romantic :) It is located in the middle of the countryside, yet only 10 minutes from Selby Town centre, with its shops and Abbey. The accommodation is first class, as are the wonderful views over the lake from the private hot tub. We were visited several times a day by the ducks. Please Don't feed them bread - or as one of our neighbours did, and gave them left over pizza and garlic bread, as this swells in their stomach. You can - as we did, give them duck and Swan food purchased from PETS AT HOME in Selby next door to B and M. On arrival, we had a very warm welcome, and everything clearly explained to us. I cannot recommend Oakwood Lodges highly enough, and will definitely be returning.
