We stayed in the park dedicated to motor homes. We were not given the option for one of the pitches on the seafront, instead we were directed to the back field. Although not a major issue as we had views of the hills/fields, it would have been nice to have had a sea view. We stayed for three nights, which was perfect. Great to walk along the cliffs and also the beach, however there's not much else in the area to entertain you. We were lucky with the weather, which was a bonus. The park seems to be a mixture of residential static homes, holiday static homes, camping and motor homes. It was really quiet when we went. The toilet/shower facilities were below average. The block needs a good clean, lots of dead insects/flies etc. on the window ledges. The hand soap ran out and the showers could have been cleaner. It was a good place to visit because of the local area, however I'm not sure it's somewhere I would go out of my way to return to.
We rented a trailer near the beach. Friendly people at reception. Very new and in good condition. Good working stove and showers and comfy bedding.Place is amazing, the playground for the kids is a lot of fun and the beach is huge and so nice with a lot of tide pools.Surf is gentle so even good for younger children.Plenty to do around St.Bees.
We stayed at this campsite while doing the coast to coast walk in July 2019. The lady at reception was extremely friendly and helpful and immediately made us feel at home. The campsite facilities were extremely clean and the campsite was quiet. It was a lovely place to stay and would definitely stay again. Highly recommended.
Found by getting lost looking for another place. Glad we did. Reasonably priced, ample parking. Good amount of space and equipment to use in the park. Ice cream van was nearby and the view is incredible.
Very disappointed, facilities disgusting, showers mouldy in cubicle. Chemical toilet filthy and laundry room unclean. The site has amazing views but poorly maintained facilities.
